Walking

The Fonseranes 9 Locks site is open all year 24/7, for free, from the Allées Paul Riquet or from the train the station and via Quai Port Neuf along the Canal’s banks.
Enjoy a nice walk form the city center via the bridges to the Canal du Midi, and finally to the 9 Locks !

Cycling

You can ride to the site from downtown Béziers or from the train the station.

If you go along the Canal du Midi banks you can reach the Fonseranes 9 Locks from Toulouse or Sète and close to Colombiers or Villeneuve-lès-Béziers.

From Valras-Plage or Sérignan-Plage, a one-hour trip will take you to the 9 Locks.

NB: riding a bike on the Canal banks is permitted by Voies Navigables de France but is not a right.

With public transport

The bus

The area is easily accessible via the TAD R2 line.

Enjoy your trip from Allées Paul Riquet to the 9 Locks and explore Béziers on the way.

Driving

You can drive  directly to the 9 locks, the road will lead you to the parking lot located at the entrance of Béziers, on the Route de Narbonne, via the Bachaga Boualem roundabout.
