In 2004, in the heart of the Languedoc-Roussillon in the small village of Corneilhan, just near Béziers, Caroline and Marcel Gisclard took over the family winery they inherited from grandparents. In their honour, the estate was named "Émile et Rose" after them.
Covering 9.5 ha, the winery comprises vineyard blocks with low yield on gentle slopes, where Carignan grows alongside Aramon, Cinsault, Grenache, etc.
Organic farming is practised here and excellent micro-cuvées are produced. The estate's most striking feature is still the famous white Carignan planted by forebears. Harvesting is done by hand, vinification is natural, and the wine is aged in barrels and jars.
