The Fonseranes nativity scene is one of Béziers’ curiosities. A little marvel of ingenuity, it is the work of two Christian Brothers.
It is more than 70 years old and is operated by an old washing machine motor. The nativity scene is a little marvel of ingenuity with more than 90 movements that are meticulously coordinated and linked together by bicycle wheels and elastic. A painting by Brother Samuel (1856) is displayed on the back wall of the entrance hall.
