The Château Vargoz is a 19th-century middle-class property that has belonged to successive members of the Lamotte, Gautier, Gély and Ollié-Mignard families, acquired by the municipality from Jean Vargoz and Berthe Espinadelle. It was originally used to house the village girls’ school, and then as a leisure and community centre. The municipality of Sérignan decided to convert this ageing heritage building into a space for artists and contemporary art. A number of cultural and artistic activities are offered throughout the year, including breakfast events where all of the workshops are open to the public and the artists give tours.
